You make me smile all of a sudden.

Hot Comments

Yes, the permanent happiness and joy is over! Germany devotes itself once again to unrestrained Weltschmerz and pessimism, everyone is upset, worrying, bitching and eating octopus. The national debt hasn't disappeared, the health system is going downhill, Bavaria destroys the tabacco industry with the fist of a Volksentscheid, the oil industry destroys the world and we are all going to die.

Germany! You are back to your true self! Bavaria grumbles about Prussia, Prussia makes fun of Bavaria, and I can go happily back to disliking Germany in general just because it's not like Austria.
No more black-red-golden flags are whipping my face now when I leave the house. They have magically disappeared over night! The Vuvuzelas are in silent mourning and maybe that stupid calamary will finally shut up too.
Everyone returns to the daily routine and makes a face as miserable as sin. No more collective drooling over hot guys chasing after a ball. It seems as if the WM has never happened and as if there was never a smiling face in this whole country.
So when can I re-emigrate to Austria?

PS: I'm still drooling over them hot guys though. ♥♥
PPS: GO NETHERLANDS GO!! *cheers*

OH SHUT UP, WANNABE NOT-GERMAN. DON'T PRETEND YOU WEREN'T AFFECTED BY THE LITTLE ONES IN TEARS YESTERDAY. BECAUSE THEN YOU'D HAVE NO SOUL. EVIL FIEND. >:T

... just kidding, this post made me laugh so hard that I almost reposted it. :D But that'd be like stealing your witty and apt diagnosis. You're spot on. It's 35°C, and Germany is collectively making a face like mid-November. EINSAMKEEEEEEIIIIT.

But even as one of them Saupreißn I have to say - A+, Bavaria, for finally putting your foot down and stopping that smoking rule chaos at least within your borders. Here's to hoping the other 15 federal states will follow your bright example. Especially goddamned NRW.

KYAAA!

I bet NRW is doing better at smoking rules than Austria. Austria doesn't even know what that could be... I wonder if the majority even knows that smoking is, well, just a tiny little bit unhealthy. For me, social life is definitely more fun in Bavaria, where I can eat my vegetable risotto without the smell of tobacco from the neighbouring table.

Netherlands has a lot of players that live in Germany and play for German clubs - so it is a little bit like a German team? In any case, they have very good players and they have been playing very good football for years, and they never won a WM title before, so I guess they deserve it too.

Ah, I didn't dislike Spain before, but after what their goalkeeper did in the last minutes of the match, I kinda distrust the whole team. Weak character, there. I can't stand unprofessional behaviour like that. But today I saw a picture of a Spanish player comforting Schweinsteiger and that was actually sweet... so now I don't know if I dislike the team or if I don't.

Anyway, my main reason for supporting Netherlands is that a lot of the players live in Germany and play for German clubs - so it somehow is a German team in orange shirts. OTL

omg, woah. this appears very intense in many different ways. and it seems as though the permanent happiness was not so permanent and instead EASILY SHATTERABLE. ;n;
i'm glad that the vuvuzelas are no longer screaming though, LOL.

Well, it was clear from the very beginning that this kind of happiness was more like being high on drugs. Now there's this hangover to deal with. It is amusing, somehow, because Germany is always naive enough to believe that the high will last forever. But then again, happiness wouldn't be happiness if you didn't believe in its truth. Well, everyone had a very good time, so maybe it was worth it?

I think Wednesday night was one of the quietest nights of the whole summer. XD

I'm also cheering for Netherlands in the final, too bad yesterday looked like EURO 2008 rerun...

I felt so sorry for them. They were helpless like little kitties - I wonder if that was the same team that beat Argentinia the week before.

My two bosses and my office partner and I all almost cried on Wednesday when we got the results of the match... but on the plus side, we'll still get to see Germany totally own Uruguay, right? ;_;

The happiness of sports... so fleeting.

Well, nothing lasts, neither happiness nor pain. It's soothing. I would have preferred a happier ending, but even so I'm almost glad things are back to normal. All this rejoicing and partying costs a lot of energy. Or maybe I'm just that lame. OTL

Btw, that octopus says Germany will beat Uruguay. So yes. But it also said that Spain will win against Netherlands. Meh. I like the Dutch team much better. ;_;

I approve of the eating octopus part D:

Back to normal already? That's depressing D: Well, it was good while it lasted.

GO NETHERLANDS!!! ♥

There are loads of recipes for octopus dishes circulating everywhere... the amount of anti-octopus facebook campaigns is enormous (and I'm not even on facebook). In any case, the real octopus gets police protection by now.

Back to normal, of course! This is Germany. Business as usual. XD The flags vanished withing one night. Germans are so quick when it comes to cleaning up.

Btw, the octopus says that Spain is going to beat Netherlands... that stupid fish!!

mi reloj son el sol y las olas
Una vez más el paisaje fugitivo,
el lago, los valles,
los árboles que corren como ríos.
Llega una nube
y ciega la mirada;
luego descubre
un mar, un fuego.

Cuando duermes
se recoge la vela de tu tiempo,
se borra el libro
por la magia de la sombra
y pasa a tus sueños la escritura.
A mis ojos,
la desaparición de tu día,
y mi quedar en mi día y en mi noche.

La belleza se desliza en su órbita.
En la isla que se aleja
tensas el arco.
La flecha sigue su línea.
Yo la mía.
